You can change the chapter titles in the button editor. We should have documented these.įor buttons, click on the button - preview images are also buttons - then click on Edit under the Design Button part at the right of the screen. There are also some threads in which we discussed the menu editor at length that you can try to find. Armed with all of that, you should be able to figure out much more. When you are in the Menu Editor, press on F1 and read carefully the description of all of the boxes, and also read the information in each of the links.

Baker - both pdf files, and do a search under the Tutorials tab, Video for "menu" and you will find a few more. Using the DVD menu editor is not difficult.once you know how. It does play the changes in the DVD menu.ĪFAIK as yet there is not a comprehensive tutorial on modifying the DVD templates, however the installed PDF should help with understanding the necessary steps to take - see under Edit disc menu.ĮDIT: I see that John EB beat me to the post. Once the menu is done and the user clicks the "Preview" button, MAKE the menu play as if it would appear once the DVD has been created. Click the Burn icon again to return to the DVD menu - you will be asked if you want to save/apply the changes. Replace the video and audio there - do not touch the placeholders. this will open a new timeline with the existing video, audio and place holders for the DVD menu. To replace the menu background and sound click the In arranger button, shown below. How are you doing this - I suspect you are adding it as an Intro video which will play before the menu appears. I also want to put my own video+audio as the background.

Does my OS matter? If so, I'm using MS Windows 10 on a Core i5 system.Ĭan you please direct me to a good, I mean "really good" tutorial on this topic? Magix does not have any detailed tutorial on how to do this, as far as I know.

My current software is Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus 2016. In my particular case, since I have added a custom video for the menu, when I switch to the Preview page, nothing happens! No video is displayed, just a static page that sometimes display the "Play All" and "Chapters" buttons :( Very frustrating. Here is my suggestion (taken from Cyberlink PowerDirector): Once the menu is done and the user clicks the "Preview" button, MAKE the menu play as if it would appear once the DVD has been created! How simple can that be? Isn't that the purpose of the "Preview"? Should it be? Well, this is a different topic, but How come Magix makes this task so incredibly difficult and frustrating? Just to have fun on their users? I've been a user of Magix Movie Edit Pro for a very long time, but never used it to create DVD menus until now. Most of them say "Select a suitable template and burn to the DVD"! Ha! I have seen many Youtube videos, but none of them really explain the real pain of creating a decent DVD Menu. I like the amount of options I have to do this task, but they DO NOT work! (Or I haven't discovered an intuitive way to do it yet). No matter what I do, the video is displayed only, but NO menu!!! This is what a user would expect to see to start playing the movie or selecting a chapter! I also want to put my own video+audio as the background, displaying the "Title", "Play All" and "Chapters" buttons. This should be extremely easy to do, but ALAS! What happened to Magix in this area? The is grouped with the button!! :( When I try to edit the "Play" button, it shows me the instead! WHY? I cannot modify anything!!! I want to change the position of these buttons, change font colour, style, etc. I select a menu template, when I switch to the Edit area, the buttons, like Play, Chapters (if available) are all grouped together.

It is so simple and easy to manipulate and create a great DVD Menu! I really like the simplicity and power of Cyberlink's PowerDirector for this task. It is so incredibly difficult, frustrating and unintuitive to create a DVD Menu for my master work!! * W H Y?*

I haven't had much time to search for a solution to my problem, so here is my *complain* :)
